Wow that's such a great time for all the lovers of Ridley Scott movie ! Really I would like to thank all the people who make these forums one a the best places to discuss SF movies. I'm very impatient to learn news about the sequel. So, am I the only one to think that Blade Runner is an incredible **** story ? Well I made some artwork linked to the character of Rachel. That's not quite new but I hope it's good enough to go around here. Really good artwork "granolaboy". I agree with your view; there are parts of the movie that come across as ****. The relationship between Roy and Pris is rather flirtacious... I find Rachael incredilby ****. Especially the scene where Deckard is asking Rachael questions during the Voight-Kampff test. Another scene is where Rachael is in Deckard's appartment at the piano, she lets her hair down and Rachael looks vulnerable and human.... In fact the original cinema version came across as a warped 1940s/50s film noir love story where Rachael and Deckard drove off into the country-side, which was part of what Hollywood investors wanted because of the movies' dark themes. The Director's Cut changed the whole feel of the movie; a more brutal and sinister atmosphere where there is more realism rather than a fairy-tale ending....

Sean Young was in here prime and quite lovely as Rachel. I had a total crush on her at the time. Her naturally slightly curly hair reminded me of my first girl friend so many years ago but immortalized for all time up on the silver screen by Ridley Scott. Good artwork granolaboy.
