Although the television premiere of Power Rangers Dino Charge isn't until February 7th, fans can get a first look at the series at nick.com.
Barring minor qualms (will these characters ever stop talking aloud to themselves?) the episode is far stronger than much of what we've seen in the last couple of years. Due to a heavier emphasis on story set-up the Ranger footage is cut down to about a minute in this episode. This doesn't hurt it in the least! In fact it works wonderfully to build up hype for when we finally see the full team together.

I also didn't notice much, if any, Japanese footage from Kyoryuger. (Those with a better eye may be able to confirm or disprove that.) I applaud this since Tzachor's over-reliance on Sentai footage is part of what made Samuai and Megaforce so stilted
In any case, it's a well paced episode that's taking its time and giving us enough breadcrumbs for the future. I like the cast so far and it's great to have Judd (Chip) Lynn back. Check it out and enjoy:
