The exciting series finale of Ultraman Orb aired this past Friday, but today Amazon Japan releases the first episode of the saga that led up to the series.
Ultraman Orb: The Origin Saga premieres today, December 26! The full trailer unveils a slightly more serious tone with guest appearances from fan favorite Ultra characters Ultraman Dyna and Cosmos. Check out the trailer below:
As previously reported, in Ultraman Orb: The Origin Saga, Hideo Ishiguro will reprise his role as the title Ultra warrior. The story will recount his fallout with friend-turned-rival, Jugglus Juggler. (Takaya Aoyagi will return in as Juggler.)
The series will be directed by Kazuya Konaka, who directed 2004's highly acclaimed Ultraman: The Next, and Hideki Oda. (Ultraman Saga [2012]) Head writer Hirotoshi Kobayashi (Ultraman X [2015]) will pair with anime screenwriting veteran Soutarou Hayashi.
An international release is planned with English and German subtitles already in the works. Meanwhile, you can watch the entire Ultraman Orb series on Crunchyroll for free.
