Despite a plethora of negative critic reviews, the Tom Hardy led Venom movie shattered records at the box office during its debut weekend! Venom released on October 5th, 2018 and managed to clear over $80 million at the domestic box office during its first weekend. Internationally Venom raked in over $125 million making Venom's total box office gain $205,230,000 after only 3 days!
Considering Venom was made on a budget of only $100 million, it's well on its way to be considered a success for Sony, which bodes very well for the planned sequel, which will introduce us to Venom's psychotic spawn, Carnage.
