American actor Kirk Acevedo is probably most recognizabe to science fiction fans as Fringe's Charlie Francis, friend and colleague of main character Olivia - the prime universe version of Charlie was killed by a shapeshifter, but the alternate universes Charie worked for their publicly known Fringe department. Acevedo has also appeared in hit TV shows Band of Brothers, Law & Order (in which he plyed two characters), CSI, The Walking Dead and Grimm. Acevedo stars in the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes as Carver, a quick to judge and quick to react, but slow to think Human survivor whom ignorantly believes that the apes were responsibe for the Simian Flu, and thus by extension the extermination of the majority of the human race.
