Principal photography on Tron: Ares (aka Tron 3) has officially wrapped up! Confirmed by director Joachim Rønning while speaking to Total Film, the next Tron installment now enters post production where visual effects and final touches will be made.
While specific plot details remain under wraps, we do know the next Tron sequel will feature a star-studded cast including Jared Leto, Gillian Anderson, Greta Lee, and Evan Peters. Jeff Bridges is also returning to reprise his role as Flynn.
We wrapped two weeks ago on principal photography, so I've basically been inside the computer for a year and then [I] come out here and talk to you, and be out on the ocean with Trudy for a couple of weeks, before going back into editing and back onto the Grid. And as a filmmaker, it's just such a blessing to be able to move between so vastly different worlds. And I'm looking forward to speaking with you about Tron when I can. (via Total Film)
