The second teaser trailer was shown earlier today at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California. If you thought the first teaser was something to get excited about, then you haven't seen anything yet!
What follows below are the five moments that we feel really made the wait for the second teaser trailer worthwhile and so, in the words of Anakin Skywalker: This is where the fun Begins!
#5 - The Downed Star Destroyer - The opening shot of the teaser showcased a downed Star Destroyer on the desert planet of Jakku, informing fans that the days of the Galactic Empire are long over. If there was ever a cooler start to kick off a Star Wars trailer, we've yet to see it!
#4 - Darth Vader's Helmet - Continuing on with the theme of bygone relics in the Star Wars universe, we also got a chance to see the chilling disfigured helmet of Darth Vader. While he's long since dead and buried, we're going to hazard a guess here and say that the haunting memories of the masked menace will still hang over the galaxy in one form or another.
#3 - Chrome-Trooper - Okay, we're going to come out and say we love the redesigned Stormtroopers and we can't wait to start building an army of Hasbro action figures! Then there's this guy - a chromed-up Stormie packing some serious heat and a cape! Honestly, has there ever been an Imperial Trooper so badass looking as this? We're assuming these Chrometroopers will sort of take the place of Palpatine's crimson clad Royal Guards - here's hoping they do more than just stand around.
#2 - Kylo Ren Is Coming - Earlier this morning, new promo posters for the film were released, giving fans a nice full look at the film's ultimate baddie, Kylo Ren! Then the new teaser gave fans a look at the mysterious figure in action for the very first time. He's intimidating and has an army at his disposal, so we're guessing he's going to make life difficult for the heroes of The Force Awakens in one way or another - and we can't wait!
#1 - We're Home - While Luke and Leia may not have surfaced in the second teaser, it was more then made up for with a stylish entrance from Han Solo and Chewbacca. 30 years later and he's still as charming as ever! Yes, our heroes are finally home, after far too long an absence from the big screen and, if you ask us, December 18th can't get here fast enough!
So, now we pass the torch to you and ask what you felt were the very best scenes from the second teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens?
Until next time, Infinite Earths fans!
