Do you remember the Han Solo fan film from back in 2016 titled Han Solo: A Smuggler's Trade? Han Solo was portrayed by actor Jamie Costa - who's become quite the internet sensation after he released a video montage paying tribute to the late Robin Williams (the video got over 4 million views). Anyways, Jamie is back at it again and has teamed up with producer Jadon Gauthier to create a brand new Star Wars fan film - this time focusing on franchise icon Obi-Wan Kenobi!
Costa and Gauthier are currently seeking funding for their fan film, titled simply KENOBI - A Star Wars Fan Film. Currently, they're at about 31% of their flexible budget which currently sits just shy of $65,000. Making films ain't cheap - especially when the demand for high quality content is an ever-growing hurdle in the independent film making department. Since Disney seem to have put the official Kenobi anthology film on hold for the time being, it's nice to see Kenobi's legacy still being realized through independant mediums. Hello there... We are passionate filmmakers who absolutely LOVE Star Wars. And one of the best ways we know how to express our passion is through fan films like we did with Han Solo: A Smuggler's Trade (2.4million views!). Much of Star Wars revolves around the Skywalker saga and one of our favorite Jedi: Obi-Wan Kenobi! For a long time now many have wanted to see what Kenobi was up to on Tatooine following the events of Episode III... so we have pulled together to propose a gripping new chapter!
