As filming on the highly anticipated Pacific Rim sequel continues, director Steven DeKnight is doing a fine job of maintaining hype by means of teasing photos from the film's set periodically. While most mainstream outlets have missed out on a number of previous set photo releases, we have not and tonight DeKnight has provided us with yet another look at the making of Pacific Rim: Uprising!
The shot below clearly shows the iconic PPDC (Pan Pacific Defense Corps) logo surrounded by warning text reading "Restricted Area, Authorized Personnel Only", however part of the fencing and sign have been destroyed. It almost looks as if something or someone emitted a high amount of heat to the fence and burned a circular hole through it. Could this mean someone breaks into the PPDC headquarters? Or is it the result of a Jaeger and Kaiju battle at the base, with burning Jaeger parts flying about and destroying some of the installation? Have a look and let us know your best guess at what's going on, in the comments section!
