Steven Spielberg's The BFG just opened to a hugely disappointing $19 million across the US, so it's clearly going to have to rely on its overseas gross to recuperate its $140 million budget.
Things are not all looking down for Spielberg, however, as his latest film, Ready Player One, has now begun shooting, as was confirmed by screenwriter Zak Penn on Twitter.
Releasing on March 30, 2018, Ready Player One is based on the virtual reality novel by Ernest Cline, in which teenager Wade Watts discovers hidden secrets in the MMORP Oasis that make him the target of killers wishing to take his prizes.
