Scott Eastwood and John Boyega prepare for Kaiju in new Pacific Rim 2 set photo!

News for the highly anticipated Pacific Rim sequel is finally picking up! The cast have taken to various social media channels to share a few photos from the set of Pacific Rim 2 (aka. Pacific Rim: Uprising). One such photo was recently shared by Uprising lead actor Scott Eastwood! In the photo below, Eastwood stands with fellow lead John Boyega (who was spotted wearing Jaeger Pilot armor yesterday) conversing in what looks like a control room. This is likely the PPDC (Pan Pacific Defense Corps) outpost in Hong Kong (unconfirmed), where most of the film is expected to take place. This also suggests that Boyega, who plays the son of Pacific Rim's Stacker Pentecost may have a higher ranking position within the PPDC than we initially thought - no doubt following in his father's footsteps.

Here we have Mr. Boyega and I quietly contemplating how best to save the world in #pacificrim.

We've had an incredible start to 2017 here on set in Sydney, and I can't wait for you guys to see this movie.
It's been so much fun, and such an experience, to jump into the universe that Guillermo Del Toro has made, and the story that Steven DeKnight (our kickass director) is sculpting for this film. Let's go f**k up some #kaiju!!

In related news, another Pacific Rim: Uprising star shared a new photo to his personal Instagram account, revealing the name and role of his character! Actor Karan Brar shared the following photo, which reveals Brar will play the role of "Suresh", a PPDC Cadet - possible Jaeger pilot in-training?

Filming is currently under way in Sydney, Australia. Be sure to keep a close eye on PacificRim2-Movie.com for more breaking news on Pacific Rim: Uprising!
