In recent years the Comic Con at San Diego, one of many comic book conventions held throughout the year across the United States has become somewhat a victim of its own success. So big has the event become that fans have come to expect more exclusives, more trailers and more panels than at any other Comic Con event. But it seems this year that the tide may be beginning to change with the uber successful Marvel Studios absent from the event, having already revealed their Phase 3 gameplan recently at an event of their own. And while the other notable Disney owned property Lucasfilm is in attendance at this years SDCC, there have been rumors that there will be no new trailer, with the most recent trailer having been shown recently at the Star Wars Celebration event hat was held in Anaheim.
Lucasfilm did however reveal this awesome behind-the-scenes featurette (above) from the forthcoming movie, which arguably reveals much, much more than was expected, such as snippets of most of the returning cast, in characer and on set as well as confirmation that British comedy actor Simon Pegg will be playing an alien creature in the movie.
