Names of the various characters seen in the Star Wars VII The Force Awakens trailer have been revealed thanks to Entertainment Weekly. Below are a selection of photos which reveal each of the character's names, including that odd Ball Droid seen in the opening cutscenes, along with captions about each character courtesy of MSN Entertainment:
Interestingly enough, the only other BB model droid of any significance was a humanoid leisure model. We're a long way from BB-4000. Or there's some weird subtext to this guy's vibrations.
It's a single syllable that has a similar "mouth feel" as Han. So does that tell us anything about Finn's personality? Probably not. But at least we now know for sure he is running from something.
The only other Ren in Star Wars is a Givin from the now defunct Expanded Universe who lost a game of Sabaac to Han. Doubtful there's a relation. But hey, cool name. Very "Fallen Jedi" sounding.
Like Finn, Lucasfilm is obviously trying to maintain an air of mystery about her parentage by striking her last name from the reveal. My money is still on a reskinned Jaina Solo.
Dameron conjures up demon and Poe wasn't exactly known for his stories about unicorns and puppies. Will this dude live up to the dour expectations now placed on what his personality will be?
