Jurassic World composer Michael Giacchino will be composing the film score for this winter's release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story! Giacchino will be stepping in for Alexandre Desplat who was originally set to score Rogue One, but had to bow out due to scheduling as a result of the Rogue One reshoots this summer.
Michael Giacchino did a fantastic job recreating the iconic feel and tone of Jurassic Park's original score in last year's release of Jurassic World. He's also a major Star Wars fan and even played a Stormtrooper in J.J Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens!
It's unfortunate to hear that Alexandre Desplat will be unable to provide his own take on a Star Wars score, but we're confident Giacchino will deliver something Star Wars fans can appreciate.
