Filming has picked up again for Steven DeKnight's Pacific Rim 2, officially titled Pacific Rim: Uprising, in Australia this past week and it has not taken residents long to notice. The following photo was snapped on the set of Pacific Rim: Uprising and shows lead actor John Boyega dressed in what can only be described as a Jaeger pilot suit!
Previously, we knew Boyega would be playing the son of Idris Elba's Pacific Rim character Stacker Pentecost, but we did not know whether or not Boyega's character would be following in his father's footsteps as a Jaeger Pilot. The above set photo confirms, Boyega is indeed a Jaeger Pilot, or at least an aspiring one, in Pacific Rim: Uprising!
Though filming is currently taking place in Australia, most of the Pacific Rim sequel plot will actually take place in China.
