A new batch of high quality Pacific Rim 2 (Pacific Rim: Uprising) set photos have leaked online and show lead actor John Boyega fleeing what looks to be a fallen Jaeger cockpit from on-set in Sydney Australia! The images give a fantastic and detailed look at Boyega's Jaeger Pilot suit as well as some of the set design for his Jaeger.
From the images below, we can deduce that at some point in the film, Boyega's Jaeger suffers a fatal blow, exposing side of the cockpit - allowing the young Pentecost to make a quick escape.
