Fresh off of his take as the Joker in 'Suicide Squad', Jared Leto has found his newest franchise film. Jared Leto will be joining the cast of Blade Runner 2, in an unspecified role. Entertainment Weekly had some more vague details on Leto's character will be like in the movie.
There are no details yet on who Leto might be playing, but Alcon Entertainment co-founders Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson said in a statement that Leto will “create a truly memorable, never before seen character.”
The plot of Blade Runner 2 is currently under a tight lid of secrecy, although it is known that the movie will be set several decades after the original. The sequel will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, and the film will be written by Michael Green and Hampton Fancher. Several notable cast members that will star alongside Leto are Dave Bautista and Lennie James.
