The incredible success of Legendary Pictures' and Warner Bros.' Godzilla has gained the film's director, Gareth Edwards the attention of another massive studio - Disney! That's right, tonight, it was officially announced that the talented director has signed on to direct one of the three Star Wars spin-off films which will release a year after Star Wars: Episode VII, on December 16th, 2016! The plot of this spin-off is still unknown but could involve the backstory of Jedi Master Yoda, or the famous Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett! Speculations are already circulating online but until Disney officially release a statement, we won't know for sure.

Gareth's Star Wars movie is currently being written by Gary Whitta, who also wrote Book of Eli. Be sure to check back for more updates on all the Star Wars spin-off titles as well as Episode VII!
