In the upcoming sci-fi movie ‘Gemini Man’ we can see a plot about two identities which is becoming more popular as we can see the same thing in other films or TV shows, but ‘Gemini Man’ is set to take that idea to the next level.

The movie ‘Gemini Man’ is scheduled to be released on October 2nd this year in France and will come to the United States by October 11th.
Plot
The plot is about a skilled assassin called Henry Brogen, who wants to leave his bloody days in the past and start a new life. However, things get twisted when he meets his exact match. They seem connected and can even predict each other's movement and actions. They are both evenly matched and since they are the same person, they think about their next step the same way.
Their fight is like betting onfootball teams that have the same odds for winning. After Henry realizes that the other assassin is a younger version of him, he wants to track him down and get to know him better. The younger assassin is set to kill Henry and he must obey his orders so he does not step down even when he saw that they are the same person. Apparently, the younger assassin is made out of Henry’s bones and flesh.
Cast
The cast for this movie is very excited which is why so many people want to see this film. The lead role of the two assassins is played by Will Smith, who used clever CGI and face recognition technology to make him look younger. Will Smith has played in a lot of sci-fi movies such as ‘Men In Black’, ‘The Genie’ so he is familiar with this genre.
He is joined by Clive Owen, who is playing Clay Varris, or the character that replaced the younger version of Henry. Owen has played in ‘Hemingway and Gellhorn’ film for which he got Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor.
Director
This is where things get interesting. The lead director of ‘Gemini Man’ is Ang Lee, and since we know his work from ‘ Brokeback Mountain’ and ‘Life of Pi’ for which he won Academy Awards for best director, we can expect very dynamic and incredible visual effects that are out of this world.

The idea for this movie was developed back in 1997 and it went through rough development for almost 20 years. Actors like Curtis Hanson and Tony Scott were set to be part in this movie and the lead role was given to many actors over the years such as Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Sean Connery but it did not happen. Finally, after many years of development and searching for the right way to film this movie, Skydance Media purchased the rights from Walt Disney Pictures and assigned Ang Lee as the lead director.

The action in the trailer is amazing. Beautifully designed stunts and out of this world effects as the younger version of Henry Brogen is set to kill his double. There is no information on the trailer why he wants to kill Henry, but we can see that they are both connected and feel the same dilemma about killing each other. Will Smith perfectly carries the lead role of the two versions of himself through a lot of emotion and action.
This might not be an all-new concept of two or more identities that we’ve seen in a film, but it is beautifully designed and has very big potential of becoming a blockbuster movie. Sci-Fi and action fans will definitely be amazed by the plot, just because it went through 20 years of development, so it should be incredible. We just have to wait for a month to find out if ‘Gemini Man’ will meet our expectations.
