Disney and LucasFilm are reportedly in talks with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards to helm the Boba Fett anthology film everyone has been talking about! Edwards proved himself as a competent filmmaker originally in 2014 with Legendary and Warner Brothers' Godzilla which landed him the director's role for Disney's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and although Disney and Edwards had differing opinions in terms of aesthetic preferences for Rogue One, apparently the studio feels Edwards' unique style is better suited for the Boba Fett project they've been adapting behind closed doors.

With the upcoming release of Solo: A Star Wars Story this May, we can expect more news regarding the Boba Fett stand alone film to surface online.
Currently no release date has been associated with the Boba Fett movie, but as new updates are announced, we'll be sure to keep you posted!
