Our Spartan savior is back in a new, live action TV series but one specific cutscene of the new Halo TV series trailer has fans puzzled by the presence of a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. About mid-way through the trailer, Master Chief engages two Elites with Energy Swords - during the brief battle we notice a Chevy Tahoe parked in the back:
Now, we know Chevy's are Built to Last, but for a 2001 Chevy Tahoe to still be running 500 years into the future, is quite a remarkable achievement. Fans have already begun having fun with the discovery, mocking up a Chevy Tahoe vehicle customization menu from Halo Infinite:
The Tahoe isn't the only dated technology spotted in the trailer. Human outpost guards are seen wielding AK-47s against the invading Covenant detachment at the start of the trailer. We understand the Ak-47 to be a reliable weapon, but for it to still be in service 500 years in the future?
We're rather perplexed by the use of these "ancient" relics by Halo standards in the first trailer for Paramount's tentpole series. Perhaps we'll get more insight as to why they're there later on. In the meantime, let us know what you think in the comments section below!
The Halo TV series begins streaming on Paramount+ this March!
