Although there are plenty of other interesting movies set for release this year such as Jason Bourne, Teenage Mutant Ninja Tutles: Out of the Shadows, Independence Day: Resurgence and of course Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, 2016 is set to be the year of the comic book movies with a total of six comic book movies to be released before the year is out. The first of these movies hits theatres this week in the US and Europe and stars Marvels somewhat insane and self aware merc with a mouth aka Deadpool.
Early sceenings for Deadpool have recieved high praise, with star Ryan Reynolds having finally broke free of his comic book movie curse with a character that he was virtually born to play. Hopefully Deadpool will prove a hit at the box office despite its R rating and persuade studio 20th Century Fox to green light a X-Force movie.
