It is sad news that Attack the Block director Edgar Wright is no longer attached to the upcoming Phase 3 Marvel Studios movie, especially considering how instrumental he was in getting the movie greenlit, and with the usual "creative differences" being quoted for Wrights departure, Wright has become another victim of the politics of film making. While this may initially seem like a low blow to both director and the project, take into account that directors that are usually sidelined or outed during a movies production, usually go on to become award winning, highly acclaimed directors in their own right.

Regards Ant-Man however, Peyton Reed, the director of Yes Man has taken over the directorial reigns, which means that either his vision of the movie matches that of Marvel Studios, or the director is prepared for Marvel Studios to take executive control of the project, either way the project is back on track and on course for its July 17t 2015 release date.
Now with news of a new director on board, courtesy of Deadline comes the addition of David Dastmalchian (pictured) to the cast. Dastmalchian will mosty be remembered by fans of Christopher Nolans The Dark Knight, in which he played Thomas Schiff, one of the Jokers lackies, disguised as a police officer during the attempt on Gordons life, only to be later tortured by the irrevocably disfigured Harvey Dent. Marvel Studios are keeping the details of Dastmalchians role a secret for now, suggesting he may be playing a major role
