Whilst there were plenty of stories in the Legends continuity that explored the past of the Sith Lord Darth Maul, we know almost nothing of his backstory in the new Canon timeline. That's all about to change however, as he's getting his very own comic miniseries written by Cullen Bunn and drawn by Luke Ross.
Debuting in February and spanning five issues, it will follow the tattooed warrior as he attempts to assassinate a Jedi who is being held in the custody of a ruthless crime lord. Thanks to USA Today, we've got our first look at the pretty terrifying cover of the first issue. Darth Maul never was famed for his smile, eh?
