During the London premiere of Man Up, Simon Pegg accidentally spilled the beans about Bond star Daniel Craig's cameo role in this winter's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, telling The Independent: “I wasn’t a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper. I shouldn’t have said that.”
This follows a series of rumors which had began to circulate over the last few weeks, insinuating Daniel Craig had a secret role in the film. et it turns out tobe noting more than rumour after Collider reached out to Simon Pegg to clarify the situation...
"Why is everyone leaping on this? It was a rumour last summer, wasn’t it? I read it in the paper. It may be untrue, like most of the other rumours, like Cumberbatch and Cruise being in it."
In related news, director J.J Abrams has revealed he plans to kill off Jar Jar Binks in The Force Awakens by hiding his bones in the Desert, to the satisfaction of pretty much every Star Wars fan... ever. Speaking to Vanity Fair he was quoted saying: "I have a thought about putting Jar Jar Binks’s bones in the desert there. I’m serious! Only three people will notice, but they’ll love it."
