The second trailer for Pacific Rim Uprising debuted a ton of new footage, but also showcased more polished CGI effects. One complaint some fans expressed after the first Uprising trailer debuted was that the Jaegers looked "too clean" and moved "too quickly". Compared to the aged look of the Jaegers in Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim, there is a noticeable difference in aesthetic preference, but we do need to take into account that Uprising takes place 10 years after the events of the first movie and like the evolved Kaiju, the Jaeger tech has also advanced dramatically. Despite all that, the new trailer did debut some not-so-polished Jaegers - battle damage littered the bunch and as you can see by the comparisons below, the overall CGI was given a dramatic upgrade as well:
