For many of the general viewing audience, their first exposure to the DC Superhero Green Arrow was in the long running TV series Smallville, in which the character and his alter ego Oliver Queen were portrayed by US actor Justin Hartley. Yet since 2012 Canadia actor Stephen Amell has made the character his own, in the series that, like the Nolan Dark Knight Triogy befre it, approaches the character from a more realistic, more plausible viewpoint.
