Amazon Studios are eyeing a potential live action streaming series adaptation of Electeonic Arts' popular science fiction videogame Mass Effect! According to a fresh report by Deadline:

One of the company's newest hopefuls in the arena is Mass Effect. Amazon Studios is nearing a deal to develop a series based on the best-selling sci-fi video game franchise.
For those that may not be familiar with the game, Mass Effect takes place in the year 2148 when a team of explorers on Mars discover the remains of an ancient civilization. In the decades that follow, these mysterious artifacts revealed startling new technologies, enabling travel to the furthest stars. The basis for this incredible technology was a force that controlled the very fabric of space and time.
We have no doubts Mass Effect is primed for a live-action adaptation and with the amount of cash Amazon has at its disposal, fans can be certain the series would be far from low budget. As new details arise regarding this deal and Amazon's plans of a Mass Effect series, we'll be sure to keep you posted!
