Buckle up SCREAM fans, apparently a new installment in the iconic horror film franchise is currently being developed by Spyglass Media Group and will be based on the franchise conceived by Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson.

According to an exclusive report by horror movie news blog Bloody-Disgusting, Spyglass Media have obtained rights to the Wes Craven cult classic but Williamson will not be attached to pen the film's script. It's unclear whether or not Spyglass are looking to completely reboot the franchise with a fresh start or continue the established canon on with another sequel.
Release date, casting news, director choices and other details have not yet been revealed but as they become available, we'll be sure to keep you posted!
