Varan: The Unbelievable

Official Plot Synopsis

Entomologist Kenji Uozaki joins an expedition to find the cause of fellow colleagues' deaths along the Kitakami River. An old village's priest claims that the great god Baradagi-Sanjin is angered by his expedition's presence and they should leave before it's too late. Ignoring the warnings, Kenji and his team eventually stumble on the giant beast Varan. When the self-defense force fails to stop him, Varan sets his sights on urban Japan.

 

 

Directed by Ishiro Honda, Varan: The Unbelievable is a Toho movie based on a screenplay by Shinichi Sekizawa.
