I actually really liked this movie. The special effects were good and blended well with the live action. I agree with chris that some of the ideas were recycled, but I think they were put in a better context in oblivion.
The best part I think was the concept of the TET. A machine of unkown origin orbits a planet and uses a series of cunning ploys to drain the planet of it resources.
