While I've always enjoyed this movie, especially the comparisons between KK and G's brains, this is where Godzilla started to go down hill, becoming the Kiddified hero he'd be unto the end of the 1970's. A fun movie, and in the case of Godzilla, nearly a direct sequel to Godzilla's counterattack, while the model work is as usual, excellent, the costum for KK is really quite horrible. Just a really bad costume that has virtually no continuity to it. And who was it that decided KK should be energeized by lightning? I think this goes back to Willis O'Brien's original story of King Kong vs. Frankenstein. While this is fun, it's not one of the greats.
