I think Jurassic World is a fantastic sequel and a really good movie, I saw it twice in cinema, but loved it on both occasions and I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.
Now I have to admit, that lot's of movie's success greatly come from it's nostalgia factor (wich is indeed very strong, maybe a tad too strong sometimes), but that's not necessarily a bad thing, and it played out nice in most of the cases. The CGI wasn't completely perfect either but it also wasn't terrible and apart some moments, I think it was pretty realistic.
There was a crucial point wich I feared from the very start of production, the 'trained' raptors. I will be honest there were moments where this was ALMOST too much for me, especially at the end, but it BARELY missed crossing a line there for me.
Apart from these, I can't really say anything bad about this movie, it was nice, funny at some points, dramatic at others, the action scenes were great, and the music created an absolutely fantastic atmosphere, pretty much like in the case of it's predecessors. I don't hate the acting and the subplot with the kids either, kids have always been important roles of these movies (and even Crichton's original novels) and Zach and Gray were great in my opinion. Maybe there was a tiny part, when Gray cries about their divorcing parents and few minutes later he happily talks abount extracting DNA, but honestly with smaller children I don't think this is completely unbelievable.
I give 4.5 for this film taking 0.5 for the few faults I mentioned, but all in all I love this film, in my opinion it truly deserves to be part of the Jurassic Park franchise. I recommend it for everyone who like good movies, I think it's mandatory for anyone who likes the original films (or at least the first), and I can't wait to see how Jurassic World 2 and 3 will play out.
