This was a genius move by Toho. The decision to make an evil robot double of Godzilla was brilliant. Basically, Godzilla attacks Japan, which is unlike him because he's a good guy in the Showa series. In the city, another Godzilla appears and the two Godzillas battle it out. Soon, it is revealed that the first Godzilla is actually an imposter named Mechagodzilla. This film also introduced a new monster, King Caesar, who can only be waken up by singing to him. Godzilla and King Caesar fight Mechagodzilla and win. This is a great addition to the series and is properly loved by all G fans.
