I don't know what to say but just to tell you to go watch this movie. It's one of the best the series has to offer, and easily the best of the heisei series. There are a lot of character, and I can honestly say I as interested in, and liked every single one of them. The story is awesome they finally focus on attacking Godzilla biologically rather than just throwing bombs at him. G cells are a central part of this movie and it's so fun to see every country vying for them. The movie picks up where G84 left off with small scenes so that even without watching the last one you get the basic premise. It immediately kicks into a gunfight over the g cells then spirals into a country that's going to use them only to get bombed by a terrorist attack causing doctor Shiaga to lose his daughter. Years later you see he essentially became a hermit and gets involved with g cells when he sees that his daughter, who's dna he put into a rose as a way of perserving, her is dying. From there the whole movie kicks it up a notch. The godzilla reveal scene is personally one of my favorites, but there are so many scenes I can recount on and think how amazing they were. This godzilla suit is my favorite of the series. It was quite different than the last suit and most suits after it had minimal changes, but this one stand out to me for some reason. Biollante looks amazing, in both forms. She looks grotesque which perfectly suits her being this abomination of genes splicing. I'm going to be honest and say I'm not a big fan of the psychic powers that the heisei era was so keen on but this movie did it well. It was cool and a great build up to see all these psychic people seeing godzilla come back. the children holding up the pictures of godzilla followed by that amazing score is probably one of my scenes ever. The score is amazing. It stays traditional but throws un a guitar to just make it that much more fast paced and all around amazing. My favorite score of any Godzilla movie.
There's not much else to say but go watch this movie. Even if you're not a godzilla fan go watch this movie, if you are a fan and have seen it go watch it again. The movie is that good. It's only gotten better as I've watched it. The highlight of the heisei era and one of the series best.
