As in my review for Godzilla, this is of the original Toho version, not Gigantis the Fire Monster, which was chopped up. I'll be honest, I found a lot of this boring. The monster scenes are good, but the human drama is unimpressive and uninteresting. This is the first Godzilla where he fights another monter and they make it pretty clear that this is a second Godzilla, the first just a pile of bones at the bottom of the Pacific, thanks to the oxygen destroyer. In this one the best scenes are the monsters battling, as well as the end, which leads right into King Kong vs. Godzilla. Why the US version changes Godzilla's famous cry is beyond me (something about the copyright I beleive) but the US version is barely watchable after seeing the original.
