I was lucky enough to see this movie last night and it was amazing. Everything about it was really enjoyable. I was so excited for it that I couldn't eat dinner. The pacing between humans and Godzilla was great. There was a great mixture of jokes and seriousness in the movie. They didn't go too dark to the point of The Dark Knight which was good because you have to keep in mind that this is Godzilla. What Godzilla's 2nd and 3rd forms did was great. I wish they had a bit more screen time but I didn't mind it that much. There was also a few shots when the CG didn't look that clean like when Godzilla's blood like fluid would bleed and it looked kind of bad but it was still very enjoyable. The ending of the movie also was good. I like how they leave it up for a sequel. This movie blows G14 out of the water and straight to the sun. This movie also had great acting. This movie also has a great atmosphere to it. You can really feel for the military and all of the citizens. The cool thing about this movie is that Godzilla is not a character. He is the plot. The soundtrack for this movie is great and how there is new and old music and it really gives a through back to the originals. I also like Godzilla's new backstory. It is a lot cooler in my opinion than the Godzillasaurus backstory. I think that this movie is a must see and that if you have the chance to see it. DO IT.
