A proper introduction to what could very well become a new series of Godzilla films. Godzilla's origins make for a rather interesting incarnation on the big screen; an incarnation I'd gladly see again and again. I was also pleased with Godzilla's opponents in the film. Both their design and story had a strong balance between unusual and awesome.
The film successfully portrayed a modern and realistic tale while still maintaining its science fiction scenario. I'd say that America did it right this time. I haven't an ounce of regret after going to see it. For those who haven't gone to see Godzilla in theaters yet, I STRONGLY recommend it.
