This film was okay. Some of the themes were a bit too dark, but overral it was pretty good. The special effects were outstanding for the early 50's! Personally, the scene where Godzilla flips a bridge over will go down as one of the movie's best scenes.
Godzilla was potrayed excellently in this movie. It was very realistic for its time, and still looks pretty good. Watching Godzilla destroy Tokyo will make you forget that it's a man in a suit.
