Review 2001: A Space Odyssey film review by JGeorgeVH

Let the Awe and Mystery of a Journey Unlike Any Other Begin. This movie has a lot of contorversy behind it. I absolutely love this film. It poses so many questions like the book, but doesn't answer them letting your imagination run wild and to most people, that is scarier than the actual film itself. It is also visually stunning and is my favorite Science Fiction film and probably my favorite film of all time. Film should be art and this is art. The effects in this film is so great and when you watch this film you understand the work that was put behind it. The effects are some of the best ever and Stanley Kubrick is one of the best directors of all time. He took five years to work on this film and that shows you that films take time. It doesn't need any more dialogue that it has and I feel that it is perfectly paced. The criticism against this film that it is to long and I don't believe that. The music is so beautiful and all the classical music they use just adds the effect of how good the film is. I hate spoilers for films so I won't give any, but If you think you can't sit through a film that is more than 2 hours then you shouldn't see it. You either have to love the elements in the film or actually want to give it a try. Please see it if you haven't. It is the best Science Fiction film of all time and is so good.
