The xenomorph is repeat player in my nightmares but I never know when or how. I've had full on space battles with flame throwers right down to trying to take it out with a staple gun in my garage. Sometimes I win but it is more common for there to be an acid blood spray that wakes me up screaming. If I had to guess on how common these dreams are I would say once or twice a year, maybe double that I have just seen one of the movies.

David vs Ash The trailers seem to indicate that Prometheus is going to be more focused on "why" Ash was in cryosleep with the rest of the crew than about the Space Jockey and his (its) race. It appears that androids are the new technology in this film. David is a known android. Ash was hidden, which indicates that people were not receptive to androids, especially being so "human" in appearance. David is "awake" and caring for the Prometheus crew. They know he exists. I keep feeling as if this story is going to be more of " David" than "Jockey". I certainly hope i'm wrong! At any rate... I do hope Prometheus provides us with a few thought provoking answers to the "Companys" decisions as well as provides even more thought provoking questions until it leads us FINALLY to the ALIEN.

This looks as good a place as any to ask this question... Does anyone else hear the voice narrating the "A king dies..." monologue to sound like Sigourney Weaver? It would be a cool nod to the original heroine if it was. And no, I'm not saying she will appear anywhere in the movie. Just that particular monologue.

Love it. I have seen some HD versions of the big head, and I swear that I can see an eyeball inside those dark sockets. Gives the punishment of the Prometheus character a whole different perspective doesn't it?

Just couple of thoughts about the picture of David in the cockpit and the blue guy: 1. The blue guy could be standing behind the pod thing that's close to us, thus he's much closer to us than David which makes him look huge. 2. I'm not sure but what if the blue guys in that scene are actually holograms and David just sees a playback of some event... they do seem kind of too blue in a way and have pretty much the same tone as the starmap.

I'm waiting for the 3D model :) ... love a bit of rendering ...

Alex Jones is a parasite. He connects whatever he can to conspiracy theories as long as it gives him attention and money. He is as bad as David Icke. Those guys are two of the loudest voices in that community, and they make people who do legitimate work on conspiracy theories, occultism, ancient aliens and so on, get ignored and written off like crazy people. Great, now my jimmies are rustled.

I really want a model of the Prometheus after this post, but if it's not available in 1:1 scale, I'd probably be pretty disappointed.

I don't think Natalie Portman would have been good at all. Not only was it a good idea to go with a relatively unknown actress, (much like Fincher did with Rooney Mara for Lisbeth Salander), but as much as I enjoy Portman in her roles - she is always playing Natalie Portman, and that's it. No real diversity in her work.

In my opinion this is still a bad scene. Almost as bad as in the original alien when lambert just stands there and Parker jumps at the alien.. Jeez I have to say this is the worst scene in the movie. Who agrees?

1) With only those two options: not a prequel as I do not see it directly leading up to Alien. 2) I like it, fits into the nephilim story of giant aliens/angels/gods/or etc. visiting Earth thousand of years ago. 3) Noomi Rapace is perfect. She is incredibly talented and the general movie going audience will be unfamiliar with her, and that is perfect for a film like Prometheus. 4) Probably nothing. I am kind of expecting a more bleak ending, as opposed to a jump/scare ending 5) Considering Michael Fassbender and Idris Elba are two of my favorite working actors; considering I've actually had vivid dreams about this film since it was first announced; and considering I am really into ancient alien theory/odd history/etc. this will be #1. Most likely make it into my top 5 of all time too.

One trailer image is inverted from the other, but in both images the smaller ship is closer to the Engineer ship.

The smaller ship is the shuttle, like the Nostromo had, just bigger to accommodate more people...the picture is out of perspective, the shuttle is in the foreground as the Prometheus is far away, climbing after the Derelict.

I have to say, SJ in Alien - dark, gothic, fossilised, unknown, haunting, disturbing.. and then we see this fluid, CGI, humanoid - true, this is the one thing that has disappointed me amidst all the hype

What is the Larger human ship then. It obviously dwarfs the Prometheus.

@Biehn_Bandit....so glad you brought Deckard up cos I was looking for an opening on that myself. I go years and years loving that movie and out of nowhere all of a sudden Deckard is a replicant.....like, POOF..he's a replicant, just like that. Harrison Ford says hold it not so fast...no way I played a replicant. So on this movie I'm not so surprised at this seemingly sudden new view that has surfaced about the Space Jockey. My take on Deckard The Replicant is that Ridley may have wanted Harrison to play the role as a replicant, but Harrison refused...and he had the star power to refuse and saw how it wouldnt work. So years later Ridley( stubborn bugger that we love) tried to sneak it anyway. The tension and clashes between those two is part of film history now. I have an even further theory on why Ridley was so hardheaded about this and like the Deckard replicant theory, its probably been thought of before....a crafty in-movie plug for "Legend"

I really curious to see what NECA is going to come out with....perhaps the Derelict model too....

I remember when i saw Aliens after Alien and at that time i had unanswered questions about the Jockey. I wondered why they never showed or said what happened to the Derelict in Aliens i mean surely the colony would have come across the Jockey? And after Aliens the franchise moved on and basically never explored or hinted to the Jockey as if the Jockey never happened or was not a vital part of the Story. But i thought if it was not for the Jockey and his Becon Warning/Call for Help then we would not have had Alien. So its great that finally we will maybe visit that side of story at least as far as who or what race the Jockey was.

I agree with AlsoKnownAsNate, the Alien universe is tangible and grounded. Ridley Scott said he believes in the theory of other lifeforms not exactly like humans but [i]similar[/i] in the universe, so the Blue Guys we see in the trailer make sense. Rather they be mankinds creators, or a step between mankind and its creators.

Yep, one of the best films I've seen but even when I first saw it, I remember thinking 'that's just water' at the thrusters at the end

I enjoy these threads, but ONLY IN THE CONTEXT THAT WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT IS FICTION, A MOTION PICTURE, and not a blueprint for the Freemason/Illuminati/Aliens conspiracy. I feel it has no place on this site. See this thread [url=http://www.prometheus-movie.com/community/forums/topic/2743&page=3]Head/Mask Debate[/url] You have to remember that nearly all things none Human in the Alien movie and Aliens are all based and finished products look simular to ones in the Art Works of HR Giger. Look at the Alien Cycle Artwork, and tell me does that look like a Suit? It does and while the Jockey in Alien looks different to this Artwork, take a look at the one in Prometheus and you can see its near the same idea.
