One other thing-the Blue Space Jockey's are only seen in the orrery room.There is a mutant on prometheus that doesn't have a helmet whereas the crew does.Also,if the air is different,how can they use the flamethrowers effectively? OK I admit the flamethrower is nit picking,however,Janek is in a scene on Prometheus along with numerous crew members and they all have the suits on.I'm thinking Prometheus survives the collision and they are stranded there until they get a derelict and use for an escape?Any thoughts?

I have to agree to the 3D problems too ... although I don't seem to have a problem with my eyes or get headaches ... I have only seen one 3D movie (Avatar) and Prometheus will be my second ... I will also see it again in 2D ... I love technology and am a sucker for gadgets but not when it's not totally right ... I think the main problem for a lot of people, watching 3D screens is, the 3D translates into a greater mental effort, making it easier to get a headache ... normally, each eye will see things at a different angle ... When that gets processed in the brain, that creates the perception of depth therefore the 3 dimensions in the movies are not exactly calibrated the same way that your eyes and your brain are ... If your eyes are a little off to begin with, then it's really throwing a whole degree of effort that your brain now needs to exert ... this disparity for some people will give them a headache ... I think they will get it right, 100%, one day ... but will it stay? ... that's another story ... Hi everyone!!..I myself am totally an Aliens fan, even AVP no doubt...Just want to point out that the concept of having element of the proceeding movie is totally doable, but base on the character(the jockey) in this film I can't understand why there is a hard time with this being a prequel. Either way it still is some connection with the 1979 movie Alien.

The scream sample or whatever it is......ive heard that on the Alien Anthology in the menu section.....sounds fantastic with the drums n stuff with it. I guess its a scream of some sort.....you know the one....it plays about 4 times before the drums kick in. Just wondered where that scream or whatever it is came from

I think the group was Gazelle Twin and the track was off the album Entire City, but I don't know the track.

What I find interesting about these pictures are the markings on the face of the head (what do they mean?), and the landed escape pod in the lower right corner of the second picture. Janek has crashed the Prometheus into the Derelict (suicide mission), and Vickers has escaped in the pod, to join Shaw already on the ground.

I remember some member posting a thread about some band or group that had tweeted or something that they had some sample that was gonna be used in some Prometheus piece. That was waaaaay back. I'll see if I can find it and get back to you or post a link to that thread.

Our luv for Alien/Prometheus maybe is what brought us together but we're all cool people, each and everyone of us and that is what makes this page so addictive. "This feeling.... keep it alive man" -he says dramatically

@invader there was a discussion about the different spacesuits months ago, well before the trailers, so there was no way to link those suits to any particular scenes. Now it can be seen in the trailers that the suit in the picture is the one from the final scenes (of the trailers): -the fight(?) scenes on the Prometheus -the take off of the alien ship -the fall of the alien ship I am under the impression that it is the suit Shaw wears after the surgery.

Hi all! Duke here. Finally signed up for this forum after reading the posts for weeks (slacker!). Never have I been in such anticipation of a movie as this one. 'Alien' ranks as my personal favorite movie. A great story, well acted, with edge of your seat suspense the whole way through. Really happy and excited to see Ridley Scott return and attempt to answer the big Space Jockey question. My hope is that the movie indeed lives up to all the hype. Too often we see movies that come out with really cool trailers only to be a disappointment in the theater. I like what I see so far in the trailers, and hope they don't come out with too much more, as I feel that would spoil the fun. I'll be there June 8th!

ah man cinefan! alien and aliens are what got me to draw when i was a kid, i cant imagine i would be an artist if those movies hadnt been made. probably wouldnt have found out about gigers art either. @cypher well i practice voodoo and we are supposed to be able to trap a soul in a skull. if i can accomplish that ill send ya one and you can shake it n poke it n see if anything happens lol. i am a self hating blonde, i have been dying my hair since i was 13 and i have been using black for many years now.

Because its a movie and seeing people in the helmets for too long is annoying

@kronnang No, Alien's not her speed. She hates chick flicks though which is good for me. She's looking forward to The Avengers and MIB3.
