I think that in the 3D scan image of the temple we can see that the ship is actually beneath the temple. Those round chambers are the interior of the ship being scanned. I remember seeing that shot in one of the trailers and wondered if those columns were made up of ampules? Like this was some type of "library" for logging data/information.

Here's another theory: -SJs true purpose is to colonize other planets capable of sustaining life. -To this purpose they created a bio-weapon (the xenos) to be deployed on inhabited worlds and wipe out the indigenous species. -After the species are wiped out they terraform those planets to suit their needs. - Prometheus crew finds out about this and tries to prevent earth from suffering the same fate. In the first ‘ Alien’ Kane finds a chamber inside the derelict ship where hundreds of eggs are kept in storage, therefore the eggs are part of the ship's cargo and were being transported somewhere. There’s a thin mist covering the eggs that reacts to Kane when crossed , kind of like a security system. The eggs appear preserved and the huggers inside dormant. When Kane touches one of the eggs he starts some kind of reaction, the egg opens and the hugger attacks Kane. It's like the eggs ‘activate’ when they come in contact with other life forms. It’s safe to assume they pose a threat even to the SJ’s themselves, hence this “containment” area with the security measures in place. The derelict ship was probably en route to another world when something went wrong that caused it to crash land on LV-426. In could be a different ship/planet/SJ than the ones in Prometheus. LV-426 is a barren rock compared to this planet - Ash even refers to its atmosphere as ‘primordial’ – with severe weather patterns and probably uninhabitable.

Yeah.. and PROMETHEUS was even originally supposed to be out NOW as well, but they moved that to June, so Im thinking that they want to anchor this game with Movie date releases for cross marketing purposes, whether its related to the movie plot or not. And who knows... maybe they have been taking the extra time to add in some type of Prometheus references into the game???.... Just for sheeetz n giggles??

actually it was spring of 2012 but they may have moved that back since. I am really looking forward to this game, and will be incredibly overjoyed if they have the presence of mind to add a 3rd person viewing option. IMO...this ONE feature, that is not including it as at least an option has led to the Massive failure of every single Alien Game ever made, or the ones that may have met with some success being completely crappy...This is a MUST HAVE option for Long annoying dizzying battles with Xenomorphs in a video game atmosphere, and I am flabbergasted that NOONE in the industry has even thought of this yet 33+ years later. Resurrection would have made a fantastic game had it been offered with a 3rd person option but it was so sickening in 1`st person that it lost all of it;s atmosphere because of it, was fun to play for about ten minutes instead you started getting sick from all the spinning around. Aliens VS Predator from SEGA for the PS3 is an awesome game but of there can be ONE solid critisism of it it is the same old obvious one...NO 3rd person Option, which is IMO 100% Mentally Retarded for Gaming MFG's to constantly leave out.

Her First New Repro System Birth was the creature at the end so we assume that right up until that final few hours {It apparently had a very fast 4 day life span as an adult} it was laying Eggs. This is based on a cross section of some of the posts I have been reading. I for one do not want to see a movie where the inorganic is converted into organic. The Mala'kak vessel, (which for all intents and purposes might not be a Mala'kak vessel if the saucers, and the horseshoes are the technology of different species) is willfully infected by the rogue (nanites). This is done by one of the infected members of the Prometheus crew taking his or her place in the pilots chair. The ship is infected when it attempts to interface with the pilot in the chair. It's how all those lovely bones replace the struts, girders, and cross members, holographic interfaces, displays, mechanisms.

@shawn... Not exactly sure... I think only FALL OF 2012 has been given out so far? But that probably makes sense.. It probably will be timed to coincide with a movie DVD/Bluray release of Prometheus in time for the Holiday Season.

Space Jockey's are actually the "horsie's" and the "jockey" is in fact a little 5 ft. tall 95 lb. alien we haven't seen yet.

Yes.. If you look into the actual shape of the Derelict vessel in ALIEN and what the ship in Prometheus looks like... there are CLEAR differances in the shape. And I dont mean that the front of the booms were reversed or anything like that but there are big differences in the shape at the back end and on the boom sides. The Derelict in Alien is clearly a more direct interpretation of Gigers female shape in his print "Hieroglyphics", but the vessel in Prometheus is much more symmetrical on the rear and sides almost like its a horseshoe. Whether this is simply the Prometheus art-directors simple asthetic choice is another question?

Click on Week 1. No difference in the trailer, but some new pics. Liking the view from the bridge of Prometheus with the derelict in the background. Also the 3D view from the "Spectagraph" of the inside of the "Temple", showing some kind of spiral ? Notice that there are some countdowns, so we need to check back perhaps. But what about the really huge numbers - are they still hours,minutes, seconds ? Take Note ! The "blank" slides as you scroll thru Week 1 have Weyland-Yutani Corp as the default background, whereas everything we've seen so far in stills and trailers has just had Weyland. It's probably nothing ... ( I probably only mentioned it as I'm convinced the Yutani link up is key to the next stages for all the viral marketing type info out there on the web ... )

I've seen nothing to indicate David is ever infected with anything, or that he mutates into something else. There's evidence of at least three crew members doing it, but the idea of David somehow becoming a living creature that "evolves" the ability to reproduce just won't go away. I've said it before on several threads- I believe he is an android from the beginning until his end, and nothing more. This was the absolute WORST aspect of the fan-made storyline that surfaced several months ago as a "leaked script", and though the person who made it up has come forward and said it was a fake, it just won't go away. Bioformer, skeletal monsters having orgies, and David being the beginning of mankind. Bicentennial Man was arrogant and naive at the same time (aside from just plain silly), and so is this idea. If David physically changes in any way because of a biological contaminate or infection, and is indeed ANY part of the Alien's ancestry, then that would be completely silly IMO. Such a thing would imply David somehow passes on genetic material to his "offspring". Pardon the BSG remark, but toasters don't reproduce. The human characters in the film are just "meat for the beast", that are used up and discarded, but the robot is reborn into a living creature capable of rapid widespread reproduction with any living host. Instincts, drive to survive and procreate and feed? That's a stretch of the imagination that is just a bit much, and I hope RS has got a better story than that. If not, this will be the biggest disappointment imaginable.

Interesting... from the 3D scan we can see that they are scanning the chambers inside the ship, and Fifield and Milburn are inside (or above) the hammerhead prong, while the others are getting there (or leaving).
