I watched The Acolyte and it wasn't perfect but it certainly wasn't as bad as people were saying, if you recall Star Trek: The Next Gen famously had a rough first season but got better after that. I really wish the show at least had a second season to try and fix the issues the first one had, alas.
I love the teaser, I am now getting more excited
Do we think the other creatures are variations of different Xenomorphs / Facehuggers? That would be interesting actually... Different Xenomorphs from different environments and hosts would be fascinating to explore.
Yea, it looks a bit like Shaw's squid-baby, it's also hatching like Sil did in Species (Alien Romulus used that as well). I think this series is using the old Kenner toys versions of the Xenos. The poster that was released today features the flying-bug facehugger/Xeno that was in the trailer and was part of the toy collection from 1987 ish, after Aliens came out. The same toyline that had a metallic looking Bishop.
I'm honestly more excited to get some Android/Synthetics lore, Scott was going to do that for the 2nd Alien Covenant movie that was never produced, hoping they expand on the lore here.
That's definitely a flying-bug facehugger in the container, just like the old Kenner toys! The one in the first teaser was flying so it's got to be this one.
If you use Reddit there's a limited time Xeno avatar you can claim as well.
Just got a post made about the new NECA figure, thanks Nebula! I'm loving the look of it, I agree though, holding out for an Offspring figure!
Neca announced the Deluxe Suspended Lab Xenomorph XX121 7” Scale Action Figure. Est. Shipping: Q3 2025.
I'm still waiting for the Offspring figure, I'd sell my soul for that.
Thanks for sharing! Perfect timing as well, Happy ALIEN DAY!
Some are suggesting the skull could also belong to one of the Aliens from War of the Worlds:

Honestly, it's a toss up. Both alien species share a similar cranium shape and design. The scale reference to the Human skull still makes me think it belongs to an Independence Day Harvester, but until we get a clearer and closer look, it's anyone's guess.
Finally a Predator movie set in the future... with the Weyland Yutani Corporation in it and everything. The android kind of looks like a Silver-Eyed Witch from Claymore
Oh, they're going there alright. Lol
Oh boy, they're going there

Updated OP with current information.
I guess now we know the antagonists in Badlands will be a blend of Humans, alien creatures and characters, as well as a massive creature, sources liken to a Kaiju monster. [Source]
Not sure I buy Predator facing off against Godzilla lol, but perhaps a monster sized like the Alien Queen in AvP would be acceptable. Can't wait to see more for this film come out!
It sounds like Trachtenberg is determined to do the Yautja lore some justice with this film, I'm quite confident in his direction so far.
Cool.... I miss when the forums were more active
Ooooooh taht is so cool!
Thank goodness. Though a fire breathing creature would have been interesting if Biosyn or some new genetics corporation was trying to genetically engineer Dragons from dinosaur DNA. But not from a story delving into the origins of Jurassic Park and InGen
Please be good and not throw out the Dark Horse culture of the Yautja. Also please have them be called Yautja (Ya-oot-cha) and not (Yaht-ja)
Fan made poster by @alt.cine:

BUMP! I've revived the Alien: Analects official page here on the site and added a link to it in our sidebar (expand using the = menu icon top right if you're on mobile). It's been many years since we announced this series and since then it's garnered discussion across many platforms even without us promoting it. I figured with the new series coming out it would be good to bring attention back to this project and fun to reminisce!
I can imagine, when I first read it nose dived my excitement for the new film thinking it was going massively off base haha. I'm relieved there will be no fire breathing Dinosaurs in Rebirth.
No problem. People were freaking out over the Variety article, so members of the Jurassic fandom are currently working hard to let people know that it was a mistake.
I've updated the article with their ammendment! Thanks for letting us know, SasquaDash!
I'm very pleased to know this was a misinterpretation!
The claim of the mutant T. rex breathing fire is false. Variety made a mistake and misinterpreted a scene where the mutant is surrounded by fire (how they made a mistake like that I have no idea). They've since made a correction. Here's the note they added to the edited article:
"Correction: An earlier version of this article mistakenly stated that a mutant T-Rex breathes fire. That was a mistake. There’s simply a lot of fire and flame in the scene. Apologies to paleontologists."
The only other site to make this claim was Collider, and it's now been revealed that they weren't actually at CinemaCon and were copying descriptions from other sites and took the "fire-breathing" claim from the Variety article.
I'm all for expanding the lore and exploring different Xenomorph host concoctions but I really hope they don't get carried away and diminish the essence/mystery surrounding the organism itself.
I think there could be a genetic handshake going on, between the engineer DNA within the Xenomorphs and the minimal Engineer DNA still left in humans after all this time, but it would mostly be coming from the Xenomorph's recent engineer
relationship.
*The reason that the Offspring looks like an engineer,* is that the original xenomorphs were spawned as the end result of engineers being infected with the black goo (as shown in the huge mural in the engineer temple, in Prometheus).
Thus, xenomorphs have a recent DNA relationship to engineers. This latent engineer DNA was then manifested in the xenomorph-human hybrid Offspring creature, seen at the end of the Romulus movie. It's not because "Engineers are related to humans". That wouldn't work at all, because engineers started ALL LIFE on Earth, not just humans. Humans would be very distantly related to engineers. We're more related to apes, rats, frogs and goldfish than the very starting point of
life, billions of years ago.
For a refresher, it would be nice to finally have in the film/tv show Xenomorphs spawned from other hosts; an early draft of AVP had a lot of those. A Gorilla Xenomorph would be sick.
People are speculating that the flying thing seen in the Alien: Earth teaser is something like this

I'm not liking the short dorsal tubes or lack of a dorsal spine
Well technically most xenomorphs we have seen in the ALIEN films were birthed from primates. I'm not sure if the DNA reflex would drastically differ between different primate groups such as lemurs, monkeys, or ape (including humans).
It would be interesting if this xenomorph were to be birthed from a monkey, then at least some of Kenner's xenomorphs will get canonized.
I reanalyzed it, there are 4 small back tubes (facepalms), and the shoulder tubes are more round. Matches with the practical suit from months ago. The Xeno's front head looks off to me, and that seems to be a lot of people's complaint, in a way it reminds me of the McFarlane toys Alien 3, Runner alien

It still makes me wonder if is it a xenomorph spawned from a primate
My guess is that the guy in the chair is a traitor (note his deadpan expression despite the circumstances) perhaps an android who deliberately attempts to deliver a xenomorph specimen or more to earth, either by going rogue like David or as per company instructions.
"I'm sure they build more than one Narcissus "class" of escape ships"
This is what I was about to say. The Narcissus-class shuttles seem to be a very reliable starcraft so it would make sense that they continued to use its design for future shuttlecrafts. I mean in real life we still have in service Vietnam Era bombers.
You have pique my curiosity and now you have my attention
After the last couple of flops, is it wise to make another MCU movie? These movies haven't been a blockbuster since Endgame
