It seems he back tracked his opinion on Romulus. Leading up to the movie last year it was said he loved it. In the podcast here I guess he says he liked parts of it. James is weird with Alien anyway. He puts AVP in third. Famously hates Alien 3 which i get at least. Was critical of Prometheus and Covenant. Prometheus I believe he said it's not what he would have done. Covenant he disliked the dark ending. I think this is all on Romulus being fan service heavy which does kinda call back Aliens more than any other movie. Definitely on point there. Honestly Alien doesn't need Jim. It just needs someone who will take risks and successfully pull them off.

I think Ridley took creative risks with Prometheus but due to the fan backlash it forced studio heads to course correct back to familiar territory. Every entry since has been more of a nod to Cameron’s film over Ridley's and perhaps that's what he means by too fan driven. Cause, the irony now being, a lot of us are sick of the recycled Aliens tropes and are begging for some creative groundbreaking like what Scott originally set out to do with his prequels. The Alien franchise is in a questionable spot right now, but maybe I'm biased.

He brings the magic

Cameron's statement is ridiculous regardless. Fan driven? Since when? The average fan likes two maybe three movies in the series at most. Even his film is somewhat divisive. Shut up Jim. Stick with Avatar. He'll be making those until he's dead at this rate. Same guy gave Terminator Genisys a stamp if approval and wrote and produced Dark Fate. What did those do? Go hard on fan service? Isn't that a fan driven approach? I think so.  

There's some irony here. Calling out Cameron for liking Earth while named after Resurrection. Subjectivity is clearly lost on people. 

Aliens is one of the best in the franchise.

Hi. I became a fan when I saw Alien 2 in the theatre in 1986. I was nine years old. The scene where she goes back to get Newt is the most suspenseful scene I've ever seen in movie history.

The franchise could use his help AE was terrible and it doesn’t sound like Romulus 2 is happening now

I don’t understand how he could have liked Alien: Earth.. the show was so bad it made a mockery of his work in Aliens. I bet he hasn’t even seen it.

Kong will definitely recieve another upgrade, Shimo will definitely die.

Extremely disappointing news. Given the panoply of wonderful, established Kaiju at their diaposal, electing to introduce Space Godzilla is a terrible choice. Particularly after having already used Mecha Godzilla and Skar King. This seems lazy. It should have been Gigan.

Yeah this should have been Gigan. Precedent has already been set for interstellar Kaiju existing in the monsterverse thanks to Ghidora. So the set up would have been simple. But now there’s ZERO set up for space Godzilla being a thing. Biollante needed to release spores into space to create space Godzilla. Gigan or Destroyah would have been better. 

Missed opportunity yet again. Biollante and Destroyah need to be a villain. Space Godzilla after already using Mecha Godzilla is a horrible choice.

That's great the movie we have is good and all but some wasted potential, I still love how it is essentially the Raditz episodes in a Godzilla movie (SG is raditz, g is Goku, GJr is Gohan, moguera or what's it's name is piccolo)

Space Godzilla is coming soon on a bit green. Can we just see about a year from now? I’m excited to see it. I don’t know how long it’s gonna be a year or two. I’m excited for this because I’ve seen all the movies not a lot of them like back in 90s I’m super excited to see this. I’ve seen all the Godzilla movies. I can’t wait until this movie comes out about a year from now. I am a Godzilla fan. Because I was seeing other movies before like. Avengers Movies Other marvel movies I am super excited to see this movie but because I don’t know how long it’s gonna be like a year from now. Really cool movies coming out this year like 2026, 2027 the list goes on

Watching WOTW on TCM tonight. It finally dawned on me. The way the aliens come to Earth and spread out. The beam weapons. The crowd in chaos (ok....I.D. gets a pass on that sci-fi/kaiju staple!), and of course the virus. I'm gonna add in E.T. because there's a scene when a small alien took a hit and scurried off, looked just like E.T. Iget it, there's only so many themes in any movie, let alone sci-fi alien invasions. Just too similar. 

Frozon, the titan from the planet Neptune During the great titan war Frozon crashed landed in the sea, creating a colossal hailstorm, making giant ice crystals, and freezing the entire pacific ocean. This icy beast is known as the "frostbite king" and responsible for the first catastrophic winter. The cosmic energy flowing in his body is used for his powers and the telekinesis for the hailstorms he creates, when godzilla and the other titans defeated Frozon went into hibernation in Antarctica's blood falls, and because of this the ice sapphires on his back turned into ice rubies, now Frozon's icy diamond beam is red instead of blue. Powers1. Telekinetic hailstorms (Frozon can create storms like ghidorah can except Frozon creates hailstorms)2. Ice slam (Frozon can put all of his energy into his arms and slams both of his arms to the ground creating an ice barrier)3. Levitation (Frozon can levitate like SpaceGodzilla can)4. Ice crystal weapons (just like the ice slam Frozon can put his icy energy into his arms and his tail, he make ice axes, ice flails, ice blades, ice knuckles, and a ice spikey mace)5. Below zero breath (Frozon can exhale a freezing cold breath that's -100 degrees)6. Icy diamond beam (it's like Shimo's ice breath but it's Frozon's icy cosmic energy becoming his most powerful weapon yet)7. Freezing lightning (unlike ordinary hailstorms Frozon's hailstorms is combined with lightning storms and fused with his cosmic energy the each lightning strike can create jagged ice spikes on whatever surface it can strike on)8. Secret weapon: frozen pulse (this weapon works like godzilla's nuclear pulse only it doesn't melt things, Frozon's ice pulse freezes everything in it's path and the effects of it can create a nuclear winter)

That is going to be exciting. It will be fun to see what Kong will do as Space G was no joke. SG also had sorcery like powers. This should be exciting. 

Although its not the real one,its good.(me in 2025💀)
