Wow!! The Gryphon (i think) looked great.
I would've love to see this film be made. It definitely would have been more faithful than 1998. Although if it had been made, we may not have gotten the Millennium series or the MonsterVerse, and the 1998 film did give us Godzilla: The Series (which I'm a big fan of).
It was kind of confusing, Godzilla destroys boats, Kong smacks him, and then they team up on MG. It was ok, but I've seen much better.
Godzilla is about 400 ft tall, while siren head is about 30. I don't think that would work out well. I think Muto Prime will be in the new series so if he is that will be cool.
Anguirus can just scream really loud, and Godzilla becomes a magnet in Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla. Also the famous tail slide in Godzilla vs Megalon.
Scylla can squirt out liquid nitrogen, Behemoth's crap can make plants grow insanely fast, and Methuselah is strong enough to carry a whole mountain on his back.
Thank you, I will follow up on that advice. I will let you know if I run across them. In the meantime if you run across anyone who knows someone, who knows someone that has them let me know.
I made a topic about that, so check it out if you want my thoughts.
It is a very flawed movie, but pretty great nonetheless. I think it captures more of the wacky spirit of the Showa era, and also uses themes form Kong: Skull Island.
But the humans were bad, and the only ones that felt half-decent were Millie Bobby Brown and the deaf kid.
Both are fairly strong, shin is overpowered, but his energy regen is very slow. 2014 is not as strong, but is faster. 2014's weakness is also partly due to the mutos' EMP pulse, so he could have been much stronger. They are both awesome and idk who would win.
I was watching Double Toasted's review of it and they described it as a "modern, big budget version of a late 60s Godzilla film", which I actually really agree with. Out of all the MonsterVerse movies, this one really seemed to capture the feel of a mid to late Showa film. The tone and more out there concepts, like the Hollow Earth, Kong's axe, and Mechagodzilla being controlled by Ghidorah's brain, felt like something you would see in the Showa series. Some people might disagree, but I feel like if the movie was made with in the 70s, with suitmation on a much lower budget it would fit right in with the late Showa films.
These were the ones I Immediately thought of, but yeah Megalon spitting bombs and having drills for hands is pretty weird as well.
Godzilla2022,
Tall order. I wish the Monster Zero forums were still up an running as I know many members had taped those back in the day. Might I suggest some discord servers? Particularly Kaiju Conversations?
I have no idea. I hope its formatted in a way that is a continuous plot like SP did. I mean monster of the week is fun, but it feels less connected and cohesive. And it tends to lessen my interest so its not for me
It was smart to push the Action as the forefront of the movie, The plot didnt have much depth but making that not the focus of the movie elevated it more.
Basically just popcorn fun. An enjoyable movie
We not gonna talk about how Megalon just spits bombs
Also, the engineers have had a role in the rpg from the start. The game has kept them active and present but mysterious and aloof.
There will be a short cinematic scenario written by canon guru Andrew Gaska in both Inferno's Fall and Colony War. It is part of an effort to keep the lore between the movies, novels, and rpg together. I've mentioned the RPG here several times, but it bears saying again: it is fantastic and ties all of the various aspects of the alien/s franchise together in a cohesive way. Its sad that there has never, to my knowledge, been an article here about it.
I just realized that a lot of these involve flight...
Hey thanks for the reply, I’m looking for the complete airings of DAM, Hedorah, Gigan, Megalon and Mechagodzilla from the Sci-Fi Channel from back then with commercials intact and in their original aspect ratio they were created in. Do you know where they could possibly be available and how who might have them? Thanks
So I've been doing some digging and although I thought Archive.org had them, it turns out they're recreations of the Sci-Fi Channel airings with HD materials. Even then I'm only finding a couple of Millennium films--Primarily GMK.
Were you looking for just the movies or the bumpers during commercials?
Bottom feeder.
Good for the moment in time, but not much else. One of the worst Godzilla movies in the franchise. Haven't seen it since theaters and still don't own it. Not sure when or if I will.

I liked JP3 for its graphics, and even i started exploring Jurassic Park franchise like in September 2021, im a huge fan.
Would liked to have this one at my shelf near by the Super Colossal Rex
I became a Godzilla fan when i randomly founded his page on Wikipedia. Then the next year, I watched then-recent Shin Godzilla, and i was blown away by the way he looked like. Then I watched both 1998 and 2014 film, and so on.
I still absolutely love Shin Godzilla to this day.
Pretty cool! GvK is also geating tons of awards!
I hope they lean more into mysticysm with the series, like singular point did. Rather than just rely on scifi logic
This is random but isn't pixabay a free database? I don't know the rules so i dont know if you need to cite it
I like the original 1954, but also GMK and the suit from Space Godzilla.
G14 is very underrated, but this show could avenge it, especially if muto prime is in it.
Probably March 13 or 20.
I like most of the Godzilla eras (with some exceptions).
Favorite to Least Favorite
Showa and Heisei (they're pretty much tied)
MonsterVerse and Millennium (they're pretty much tied as well)
Other (Tristar, Hanna-Barbera, Marvel, ect.)
Reiwa (because Shin is the only one in this series that I've genuinely enjoyed so far...)
I would like to see a canon Beluga xenomorph too, they maybe be similar to a neomorphs in design but the belugamorph is a different creature
I would like to see different variants like the neomorph but I imagine they'll play it safe with the standard XX121. I personally would love to see the Belugamorph canonized. I know the the neomorph is basically the same thing but I can't help it.
