Cool. No CGI Xeno's...hopefully.
ugh.
Yeah, I'm glad this is only a TV series, not a movie.
The Xeno is an engineered disfigurement of a human. I don't expect to find humanoid shapes in deep space. That would be more astonishing than the monster.
The xenomorph has always been an engineered organism, Hawley is a dumb ass
The prequels take place. The company knows about the aliens but can't find any.
They detect a signal on LV-426. They don't tell the Nostromo crew, which will be flying by it, and change the science officer while it's docked.
When it flies by, Mother re-routes the ship to it and wakes the crew.
The catch with this is that the company already has the coordinates to the signal, which means it didn't need to wait to rescue Ripley to get the location of the derelict ship. And yet it didn't bother to investigate it across the decades the Nostromo was lost.
One major problem with the movie is that it involves a Sulaco that's nuclear-armed and doesn't even have a captain and a crew.
One writer thinks that it's going to be about thieves encountering aliens, and another referring to another crew encountering the same.
I think the aliens will become like secondary antagonists.
01/14/2024:
With the release of Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color, the film has continued to stay in the top 10 for an 11th weekend. It has hit 5.32 Billion Yen (~36.9 Million) and with an attendance of 3.46 million, it has surpassed Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla's to become the 13th most attended in the series.
It's on its way to surpassing Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning to become the 6th highest grossing film in Japan. As far as attendance goes, the next Godzilla movie on the chopping block is Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla II, though hitting 3.80 million might be a stretch. Minus One is looking at a 5.5-5.7 Billion Yen finish, having surpassed the original projection of 5.0 Billion Yen.
Charts updated.
I mean if you want to recapture the horror of the first film then that ship had sailed.
Alien is like any monster horror movie franchise, you can't be wowed twice if you watched it multiple times. Prime examples Godzilla and Jurassic Park.
Added your latest update to the homepage GMan! Thanks for the continued accurate reporting!
01/10/2024:
Godzilla Minus One's 10th weekend sees it still in the top 10. It's total gross after weekend 10 is 5.14 Billion Yen. Its attendance is 3.34 million--It should pass Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla's attendance before the end of the week. (Eiga Ranking) The winter break boost is very much over, but the black and white version, -0.1/C, should provide a minor boost in awareness, especially given 4DX showings are very popular.
It is currently the second film in the franchise to break 5 Billion Yen. And having surpassed The Return of Godzilla attendance, is now the 14th most attended film in the franchise.
It's also worth noting Box Office Mojo has stopped reporting the Japanese gross. They last reported on Godzilla Minus One's Japanese numbers Christmas weekend and are currently $3.1 million behind the Japanese total, based on current exchange rate numbers.
Prometheus, there's something about the head that's mysterious.
I think it is very cool. It gives a good example for godzilla fan begginers.
12/31/2023:
The 9th weekend for Godzilla Minus One saw a boost in the box office due to winter break. The gross shot to 4.86 Billion Yen (~34.5 Million) crossing an estimated attendance of 3.16 Million. (Eiga Ranking) It should pass The Return of Godzilla to become the 14th most attended film in the series soon. Despite nearly falling out of the top 10 last week, it went from #9 to #6! (Eiga Ranking)
- 7th highest-grossing 2023 film in Japan.
- 5th highest-grossing domestic 2023 film in Japan.
- 15th most attended Godzilla movie in Japan.
- 2nd highest grossing/attended kaiju film in last 13 years.

love it , lets give James Cameron a call
first Alien poster , its stuck in my head forever,,,, and will never go away ,,lol
Another artist I found, Matteo Sciarra makes some pretty remarkable Godzilla artwork!
Will be interesting to see how they explain her redesign & the twins' absence.
I wonder when these will be released in the UK.
Late January maybe?
While it does look cool, I kind of hope that Gamma Goji is just a temporary power up instead of a permanent change to his design.
Interesting how Shimo's render makes him almost pearlescent, while all the toys are pure white.
I feel mixed about how he looks. The newer designs - Mechagodzilla, Godzilla Evolved, Skar King, and now Shimo - are all imo too slim to be massive. One of the best design aspects of the 2014 Godzilla is how weighty and massive he looks - none of that sense of mass is present here.
The way the limbs connect are unnatural and fragile looking; almost scansorial-like. I understand the structural references to lizards, but it really makes no sense for a massive Titan.
I'll wait for the final film to give a definitive judgement, but by the looks of known material, these designs aren't what I crave for.
Alien Covenant for me. And the movie has become my favorite after Alien. I hope I get another chance to see it in theater. The darkest of all.
Given they’re Playmates toys, I don’t really expect profound levels of detail and accuracy. The higher end manufacturers will surely produce more film-accurate figures.
IMO - The Kong figure is the only one that looks pretty decent.
Skar King looks nothing like trailer. And that two-pack of Godzilla vs Shimo - the eyes on Godzilla are a horrible paint job.
What I was getting at was Thoughts_Dreams keeps saying invent a new creature to replace the xenomorphs and I was curious what can possibly replace the xenomorphs since they are synonymous with the ALIEN franchise.
If the new creature in question is biomechanical, parasitic, eyeless, head is phallically shaped it will scrutinized as a xenomorph knock off at worse or wasted potential at best.
The new alien creature can't be a simple xenomorph 2.0, we already have those with the neomorph and deacon.
actually there is conflicting evidence on climate change, well in the mankind is responsible since a lot of the computer data uses false data or news agencies are deliberately misinterpreting weather data even when the climatologist on that same broadcast is saying otherwise.
Also not every climatologist agrees that climate change is caused by humans
pretty much all of the Alien Resurrection xenos are cloned aliens
I'm torn between which poster to vote for, so i would go for the Alien Covenant since It looks haunting
Great accolades, but I'm dumbfounded none of the lead actors were nominated! The best characters I've ever seen in a G movie. They truly stayed with me long after seeing it.
I would say he is at least a few thousand years old, because his father was around during ancient japanese times
Hes about as old as your mom lmfao gottem (I have clinical depression)
well i cant see Monsterverse reusing the same names even if its reincarnation so it could be same speices as Mosura just going by diff name
Btw Godzilla awakening ain’t canon no more bruh. Legacy of monsters changed it.
Wait I’m stupid, I didn’t read the whole thing
Thank you for sharing this intriguing excerpt from “Alien Becoming.” The project’s do***entary style, narrated directly by David, promises a unique perspective. Glitchy footage and reconstructed past events projected on screen add an enigmatic layer to the unfolding story. I’m curious to witness how this raw form evolves into a complete work before “Alien Romulus” debuts.
Your project delves into existential questions, and I eagerly await its unfolding. May the sands of LV_233 reveal secrets beyond imagination, and may David’s journey lead us to profound revelations.
Love the Prometheus poster too, omnious and captivating. And the tagline "The search for our beginning could lead to our end" fits perfectly.
I also like the Covenant poster. When I first saw it, I thought that David must have carved it.
