AdminAtmanDec-17-2012 2:57 AMHave a look at this still from the [url=/]Pacific Rim Trailer[/url] where the [b]Jaeger[/b] [i]Gipsy Danger[/i] fights one of the [b]Kaiju[/b] in the sea. This Kaiju looks to have a massive horn on the top of its head, much like a [i]Goblin Shark[/i], with teeth to match. But something else stands out to me - it looks to me like there is a glowing blue light emanating from the mouth of the Kaiju. Am I mistaken? Have a look and you tell me:

If it is, this could suggect that the Kaiju have some kind of biological projectile ability, like [b]Godzilla[/b] - and can "spit" or "breathe" toxic or harmful substances, whether it be radiation, like Godzilla, or perhaps something else like, Acid?
We already know the [b]Kaiju[/b] have toxic / acidic blood. So, this isn't such a far fetched idea. What do you guys think?

MemberNoobDec-19-2012 2:28 PMIndeed, and the one that attacks the bridge shows orange glow in its mouth. Whether it's a weapon or just acid reflux from the dimensional crossover remains to be seen.

MemberNoobDec-19-2012 2:54 PMYeah I just had a thought I shared in another thread that this light could be the key to new enegry sources for the Jaegers. I hope we see some super cool ranged Kaiju attacks mixed in with the melee!

AdminAtmanDec-22-2012 1:20 PMOh I'm sure we will see plenty of that [b]Rokku[/b], but interesting you mention if could be an energy source that the [b]Jaegers[/b] use. It's certainly possible!
I think it would be neat if each [b]Kaiju[/b] had a unique, special "weapon", much like [b]Godzilla[/b] and that they could breathe fire, electricity, etc...
In the final scene of the trailer, we see that really big [b]Kiaju[/b] roaring, and it has electricity emitting from its body and head crests. So, who knows! Onteresting theory!

Also, Jaeger does: Cherno alpha electricity, Striker Eureka resist to high temperature...I think they adapt because of new Kaiju abilities.

AdminAtmanDec-25-2012 4:08 AMNeat, thanks for adding that Lili! The idea that the Jaegers are adapted to deal with the unique Kaijus' abilities is a really interesting one. So that would mean the Kaiju do in fact possess some form of unique ability/projectile.

AdminAtmanDec-31-2012 4:36 AMHaha quite a remake! Wow, it does look so much like the Kaiju from the trailer. I wonder if it was done on purpose, and if it was a homage to Gamera! It's certainly possible!

MemberNoobJan-06-2013 11:52 PMThe portal at the bottom emits the same kind of light. I think its their power source. The other monster has blue behind his head. I believe its their connection to the portal or homeworld.
If it was a weapon they could discharge why not use it right away and get the job over with. Im predicting the humans will figure out what the light is and inevitably find its weakness.

MemberNoobJan-12-2013 6:59 AMHey could it be the Kaiju's way of communication, i mean i believe they are definitely communicating with each other somehow. Its interesting to think that are they are just randomly attacking or is there some plan some purpose. and if there is some plan then how do they communicate with each other or is someone else controlling them like the queen in ALIENS, I mean is their a King or queen Kaiju who comes out in the end or something...
