Humanity's new natural predator

For big ideas, think small.

But a virus isn't a predator

It is or can be a bigger predator than you might think. There are more efficient ways to decimate a species with no muss and no fuss. Doing it on a micro level can be way creepier than the bombast of over sized and unrealistic monsters.

In the spirit of the OT, I would suggest the humble Predator!

well the monsters makes for a cool story but yeah the practical way would be a pathogen

Basically what I'm saying is that the original idea is that we "need" a natural predator, but I'm proving that it wouldn't help at all and a Great Destroyer would actually solve a lot more than a predator. Anyways, for a hypothetical predator... a hybrid between the future predator from Primeval, a Gorgonopsid, and a Spinosaurus. It can also camouflage. Don't question it.

why a spinosaurus? Aren't those guys fish eaters?

Headbanners seems good... I don't really know Devil Lady too well.

A Spinosaurus for size for one variant of the predator, where it's a lot bigger but still the same species and helps the rest (like a heavier class Xenomorph in a hive), and so it's semi aquatic and can travel larger distances.

Also Devil Lady (US title) or Devilman Lady (Japanese title) is a good anime, it combines kaiju and kaijin into one genre

Sounds interesting. I guess I'll put that one on the list of stuff I should watch, with Star Wars, Indiana Jones, My Hero Academia, etc.
