NOTE: NONE OF THESE ARE REAL FILMS. THIS IS ALL SPECULATION.

Thanks to KaijuWorld for the thumbnail. Not all the films I am speculating have been put in this image.

PHASE I:

1. Godzilla 2014

2. Kong Skull Island

3. Godzilla: King of the Monsters

4. Godzilla Vs Kong

PHASE II:

THIS PART IS ALL SPECULATION

1. Mothra (Standalone Film): Years after the events of Godzilla Vs Kong, all the Titans have gone into hiding. Suddenly, Mothra emerges, accompanied by two of her larva and her two fairies. Mothra's Fairies warn Monarch and the UN of an impending attack from Mothra's Arch nemesis, Battra.

2. Kong Returns (Standalone): Depending on the outcome of Godzilla VS Kong (I hope Godzilla wins), this movie may or may not make sense.

3. Godzilla 3: The Xiliens (How they will be introduced I have no idea) arrive on earth and retrieve the corpses of Ghidorah and the Male MUTO, and use their technology to revive them as Mecha-King Ghidorah and Gigan (See Kaijuworld's How Gigan should be included in the monsterverse) the Xiliens send Ghidorah and Gigan down to Earth, where Gigan attacks the East coast of the US and Ghidorah attacks the west. Godzilla is drawn to Gigan first, recognizing the Male MUTO's body, and Gigan recognizes Godzilla as the one who killed him. Gigan attacks Godzilla out of hatred, but, much like the 1998 Godzilla, ends up fighting sloppily because of his hatred, and is easily defeated, retreating to the Xiliens in shame, missing parts of his body. Godzilla and Ghidorah then meet each other halfway across the US, and begin to fight. Godzilla finally defeats Ghidorah by firing his atomic breath at Ghidorah's mechanical chest, destroying him in a fiery explosion. Angered with defeat, the Xiliens hesitantly leave Earth and the galaxy alone.

4. Rodan (Standalone): Rodan, awakened by the conflict from Godzilla 3, approaches Godzilla to find out what happened. On edge, Godzilla sees Rodan, and, out of instinct, attacks him. Eventually, Rodan uses his sonic roar to temporarily stun Godzilla, after which he shows Godzilla that he is not an enemy by refusing to fight back, even after Godzilla prepares his Atomic Breath. The two Begin to travel back to the ocean, but before they can part ways, an earthquake happens under their feet, and Anguirus bursts out of the ground and attacks Godzilla and Rodan. Eventually, Anguirus and Godzilla retreat, overwhelmed and outmaneuvered by Anguirus. Eventually, Rodan makes his way to paris, france, where he sees that a new Kaiju has emerged (I can't think of who) and fights them. Eventually, the Kaiju kills Rodan, and continues to attack the city, but before it can reach the Eiffel tower to attack it, Rodan's corpse explodes and he emerges as Fire Rodan, and defeats the other Kaiju.

5. Monster Island: After retreating from his battle with Anguirus in Rodan, Godzilla comes across an island chain in the Pacific Ocean, and decides to make himself comfortable. Before he can, however, he is attacked by a giant spider (Kumonga). The two battle for several hours, until Godzilla catches Kumonga on fire with his Atomic Breath, and she retreats. Godzilla then explores the rest of the Islands, and comes across Rodan, who is looking to the sky. Godzilla looks in the direction of Rodan's gaze to see a gigantic Crystal formation floating down towards the ground. When it lands, it bursts open, revealing Spacegodzilla, who drives off Godzilla and Rodan. Rodan flies to Mothra's Temple in the Yunnan Rainforest, where he warns her about Spacegodzilla. Mothra instructs her Larva to take the fairies to Monarch and warn them about Spacegodzilla. They do that, and Monarch comes up with a plan to move all of the Monsters to the island chain, which they call the "Monster Islands" so all the monsters can work together and defeat Spacegodzilla. They collect Anguirus, and fly him to Monster Islands Via helicopter. Rodan arrives at the landing point on monster islands along with Godzilla. Kumonga appears, slightly singed from her fight with Godzilla, and the Helicopters drop Anguirus. Before all of them can fight, Mothra arrives and informs the other monsters of Monarch's plan. The other monsters agree that the only way to live in peace is to work together. They all move towards Spacegodzilla's position, where he has made a giant fortress out of his Crystals. Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan all fire their beam attacks at the fortress walls, breaking them open. Spacegodzilla realizes that he is under attack, and retalliates using a series of magic attacks. After a long battle, Spacegodzilla kills Kumonga by impaling her thorax with a giant Crystal from out of the ground. Enraged by the loss of their ally, the mother monsters furiously attack Spacegodzilla. Mothra's Larva spray silk on Spacegodzilla, entangling him, and Anguirus rolls into him, knocking him to the ground. From there, Rodan, Mothra, and Godzilla fire their beams at Spacegodzilla, causing him to explode. The monsters part ways, and the movie comes to a close, marking the end of Phase II.

Right now, I'm fresh out of ideas, so I think I'll leave ya'll hanging for Phases III and possibly IV.

Anything is possible for the future monsterverse. But we'll have to see just how much staying power it has. Unlike the long track record of the Marvel Universe or the critic-proof Transformer series, we don't know at this point just how durable the monsterverse is.

So we'll just have to take it one movie at a time and not get ahead of ourselves. Sure, I would love to see a stand-alone Mothra and Rodan movie or another Destroy All Monsters (which KoTM kinda is actually).

But the key is that they need to focus on making a good movie for each entry in the series and not get too distracted with trying to build an interconnected universe. In other words, they need put the priority on telling good stories first and not focus on trying to build a larger universe. That comes later. Otherwise I fear the Monsterverse will become another "Dark Universe", the supposed-franchise from Universal that crashed and burned before it even started. Universal was so focused on building a universe of their own with the Mummy, they forgot to they tell a good story in the first place.

I just love how these hypothetical films tend to be rip-offs of previous made movies without going in a new direction for these kaiju. Come up with some new like original kaiju and original alien species, stop re-using the 'same old, same old' material from previous godzilla movies.

Xenotaris the reason those would be good films is because, unlike the original Godzilla films by Toho, the Legendary films would have a plot that makes sense to a newer generation.

Cecegames02: Make sense, are you saying the old Toho series don't make sense?

Naw, they make sense, but the plotlines of the Toho films and the plotlines of the american films have large cultural differences, And the plotlines of american films would appear to an american audience, rather than a japanese one.

Happy to see someone expand on my previous ideas :). Even though some of these concepts are a bit out there, some of these concepts are pretty neat.

I might do a remake of the speculation I made a long time ago because I have realized now that this less of a Monsterverse and more the Godzillaverse + Kong. The Monsterverse should really have a more diverse cast.

Long live the king...
